Eastman A Style Mandolins
Eastman derived their A style mandolins from the classic
designs of the 1920s and before. Eastman's elegant
flaring headstock complements the classic teardrop body.
Solid aged tonewood, handcarved and voiced, plus supple
varnish makes for striking performance in a lightweight
package. We like the A mandolins for their sterling
performance at an extremely reasonable cost.
F hole models have a long neck joined at the 15th fret with
the fingerboard extending over the body.
Oval hole models follow Orville's classic design, with the
short fingerboard joined at the 12th fret and extending
onto the intricately carved top. They also have an inlaid
rosette and binding around the oval hole.
